Payment of Session Fees

(Note: For your convenience and ours, standing orders will be monthly or quarterly and run for 12 months.  This avoids stop/start paperwork every June and September)

Monthly by ‘standing order’ (12 payments)

  • Quarterly by ‘standing order’ or cheque (4 payments)
  • Annually (3% discount applied)

Cancellation of membership

We have found in the past that as standing orders run for 12 months, we loose income when people leave the club mid-year. Hence, we have had to introduce a system to avoid this.

Cancellation at the end of each fiscal year (August) is accepted without penalty

  • 30 days notice is required
  • A final payment is due following the 30 days notice which will be considered the final    payment and concludes membership

Cancelling your membership during the year

  • 1 month’s member fees will be retained to cover cancellation costs/ Further explanation can be obtained from the Treasurer.
  • 30 days notice is required (The fencer’s last month attending classes).
  • A final payment is due following the 30 days notice which will be considered the final payment and concludes membership

The final payment equal to one month’s membership fees will be applied as follows:

  • Monthly payments – After 30 days notice, final payment is made and the standing order is then cancelled.
  • Quarterly payments – A refund will be calculated, if required, to reflect 1 month’s fees held back.  Standing order will be cancelled in relation to the calculated last payment.
  • Annual payment – A refund will be issued for the remaining months through to August, less 1 month and the 5% discount.
